After we went through most of the magazines already on newsstands, we realized we could not indentify ourselves with any of them. One the one hand, there are western magazines, with a cruel lack of diversity. On the other hand, Afro-oriented magazines, hardly ever conceived with a global outlook.
After these few observations, FASHIZBLACK was born, halfway through both currents.
From streetwear to catwalks trends, and from pieces of advice to Fashion industry insiders problematics, we carry this ambitious project and want to explore EVERY thing closely or loosely related to fashion. And if the word « BLACK » could seem, in many ways, to be restricted to one community, may the more reluctant be relieved. Sometimes with a sarcastic, bold, but always straight tone, our magazine contents transcend every skin color, because we want to be GLOBAL. Just as much as fashion.
More than a claim, we wish through the stylists, models, and other fashion professionals we will talk about and feature, a rise of awarness will eventually happen.
All in all, FASHIZBLACK first speaks to people who accept both their African descents roots and their interest in the so-called westerner/occidental culture.
Therefore, our ultimate question is : ARE YOU FASHIZBLACK? ?
