FASHIZBLACK Magazine AFRICA correspondents (PAID).

As FASHIZBLACK Magazine is growing into the fashion bible for the young, smart, and fashion-forward black diasporas around the globe, we are looking for african correspondents starting from june 2013.

Working closely with the magazine’s creative team, you’ll have to oversee and produce media coverage and content (video, pictures, written article). Ideally, you’re a skilled journalist, bilingual (English/French) and you are familiar with Arts (Fashion, Beauty, Culture).

Your legal papers are in order, you are able to travel both inside the country and neighboring countries (accommodation is provided by the magazine). Smiling, curious, dynamic and trustworthy, you can adapt yourself easily to various environments and you are proactive.

Due to the specificities of your job, you’ll have to have access to qualitative telecommunications facilities (telephone, internet..) and be as reachable as possible.

This position is exclusively opened to applicants in Lagos, Douala and Johannesburg.

FASHIZBLACK Magazine Translation Internships/Collaborations [URGENT]

As FASHIZBLACK Magazine is growing into the fashion bible for the young, smart, and fashion-forward black diasporas around the globe, we are seeking editorial interns to assist with the translation tasks, in both French and English, including minor translating on the previous (online) issues already published, and mainly working on printed publications and other possible assignments.

Candidate MUST be bilingual and able to know French expressions as well as idioms in English. A strong knowledge of Fashion and beauty vocabulary in both French and English is REQUIRED.
Also has to be web savvy, proactive, quite a team player and EXTREMELY detail oriented.

The position can be an internship or long-term collaboration.
This is an unpaid internship, but the editorial experience is worth so much more!
This is a very great opportunity to add a pioneer project in your resume and gain tons of experience.
The internship is for CREDIT ONLY and interns must be available to work approximately 15 hours total a week.
We also accept other types of UNPAID collaborations – not necessarily interns.

Subscription Sales Agents NEEDED!

 

Mission

As FASHIZBLACK Magazine is growing into the fashion bible for the young, smart, and fashion-forward black diasporas around the globe, we are increasingly in need for freelance sales agents to expand our subscribers base.
We are seeking talented freelance (or independent) sales agents to work on implementing sales and marketing of the magazine’s subscriptions. Depending on the result, this could lead to a long-term collaboration.

- FASHIZBLACK subscriptions sales online, though the phone, door-to-door, on fairs, fashion events, cultural places, etc.

- You will be in charge of subscriptions promotion, mainly aimed at an ethnic/Afro-descent community, but also to all people passionate about Fashion, Beauty and Culture.

Profile

Excellent customer relations skills.
Creative, independent, web savvy, proactive, quite a team player and detail oriented. Great oral communication skills. You can work fast and adapt easily.
Desirable Experience: Experience in magazine or publication sales. Understanding of the fashion, beauty and luxury market.
At least 1 year experience in sales.
Knowledge of the (Ethnic/Afro-descent) niche appreciated.

PAY

25 to 30% of sales generated depending on the amount sold by month.
