FASHIZBLACK, MORE THAN JUST A BLACK VOGUE…
The FASHIZBLACK team needs YOU to launch its first glossy printed issue in January 2012. We launched this online independent magazine 3 years ago, and the success of it has been immediate and consistent through the years! With its innovative concept, FASHIZBLACK became the #1 online fashion magazine in France, and the blog, l’Entre-Deux, has thousands of visitors daily.

After going through most of the magazines already on newsstands, we realized that we could not identify ourselves with any of them. There were western magazines, with a cruel lack of diversity, and African magazines hardly ever conceived with a global outlook.
After these few observations, FASHIZBLACK was born, halfway through both currents. Published as an online magazine issued every two months, and as a blog updated every day, FASHIZBLACK has now 19 issues, 200.000 unique monthly readers, and more than 20.000 Facebook fans. Also, our museSolange Knowles agreed to be exclusively our cover girl last September, and so did the lovely Simmons Sisters in January. We’ve been buzzing on and offline, talked about the most amazing up and coming designers from Lagos, Cape Town, London, New York or Paris, worked with great photographers, make-up artists and stylists around the globe, and had the support of our incredible community of readers, who are so ready for the next big thing. It’s is now time to reach that ULTIMATE STEP we’ve all been craving for: produce a high-end glossy FASHIZBLACK magazine that fits our high standards!
The project of this print magazine sticks to the online editorial line, so it will still be about trends reviews, catwalks pictures, focus on designers, analysis of the industry, shopping lists with great bargains for Men and Women, and amazing photoshoots, all produced by ourselves.This milestone issue will be published on January 2012, available in French+English, and distributed internationally.
WHO ARE WE ?
We are Paola, Laura and Patrick, co-founders of the magazine. We worked really hard for more than three years to get this project out of the ground and we were lucky enough to meet and have the chance to work with a fantastic team: Raissa, Paul-Arthur, Stella, Damien, Laura B. and the ‘Entre-Deux’ bloggers help us keep the project running every day!
WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
As you may have guessed, launching a print magazine is a really expensive venture. So, we need you to help us complete our funding endeavours and make sure we keep our freedom and creativity for our independant production and top quality printing of this high-end project. We want to be sure that every dollar counts, and that people who receive the magazine will be extremely satisfied with it. We need you to make our collective dream come true. Let’s have our voices heard and create a fashion revolution! We believed in the power of community since the beginning and our supporters never failed us once. By pledging at least $20 you are pre-ordering the collector #1 printed FASHIZBLACK issue or by pledging $65, you are pre-ordering a one-year subscription. * How will the 40.000 dollars be used for ?
We need these funds to produce, print and put a paper version of FASHIZBLACK Magazine on the market. With a pre-order, you buy an issue that you will receive before it hits the newsstands (with bonuses), but you will also be a part of the launch of a small business with financial independance.
*How can I pay ?

- To pledge for the project, just click the green “Back This Project” button on the page. You will be asked to input your pledge amount and select a reward. From there, you will go through the Amazon checkout process. Note that you must finish the Amazon checkout process for your pledge to be recorded.
*Can I pre-order the issue even if I am not located in France?
Of course, we do accept all pre-orders, no matter what the location is.
*How much will the magazine cost?
Once it becomes a paper magazine, it will cost between 3.50€ and 4.50€.
*What is the minimum I can pay?
You can pay a 5 dollars ( 3.50€ ) minimum and the maximum is …whatever you want!
*If the 40.000 dollars are not funded until August 28, 2011, will I be charged?
No. When your pre-order is validated, you are automatically added to our « Backers » list, but nothing will be charged on your account. The funds are collected entirely ONLY IF 40.000 dollars are reached on Aug.28.

Kickstarter uses Amazon’s Flexible Payments Service, which enables our all-or-nothing funding method. No other credit card processor currently supports our requirements. We’re always talking with other companies and exploring other services, so expect more options in the future.
* What about my credit card info ?
FAHIZBLACK does not have any access to the backers confidential informations. All the informations linked to the payment methods are kept exclusively by AMAZON.
* If the 40.000 dollars are reached, how will I be able to justify my purchase? Do I need a receipt?
Once you confirm the pre-order, you will be automatically added to our backers list with the amount and the chosen Bonus pack (if you chose one). Once 40.000 dollars are reached, we will contact you personally so you can provide us with all your necessary information to receive the issue and all your bonuses.
* Will FASHIZBLACK be distributed internationally?
Absolutely!
* Will FASHIZBLACK be sold on newsstands?
For our 1st paper issue, the magazine will be sold on selected and accurate locations, reflecting the FASHIZBLACK spirit.
* After my pre-order is validated, can I change the amount?
Yes, you can modify the amount of your order as much as you want to, but you will have to do it BEFORE Agust 27.
* Can I pledge several times?
You can order several times or donate ( « No rewards » ), but you will have to create different accounts since every order is linked to ONE specific project.
* What if I want to pledge anonymously?
